Welcome to 2024, the year of creating abundance! Yes, this is your year to shine as you
create abundance in any area of your life. You see, according to numerology, 2024 is an “8” universal year (2+0+2+4=8) where the predominant energy is all about abundance and prosperity. Numerologists and the angel numbers tell us it is about financial abundance; about power, leadership and authority; about strength; about transparency, accountability, and karmic lessons. So, this eight year has much to offer us in many exciting ways. Are you ready to manifest your dreams of abundance? Are you ready to shine as those dreams come to fruition?
We have just wrapped up a “7 year” in 2023, where we had the opportunity to look inward, and reflect on who we are, what our purpose is, and confirm that we are on the right path. Many of us experienced very intense times throughout the year when hard lessons were finally learned. Old situations, feelings, relationships, repeating challenges all raised their ugly heads for us to take a final look and learn the lessons they brought forward. By year end we were able to release any residual that no longer served us. Now, we are free to take action in what numerologists call a supercharged year. We are free to live our truth and to create an abundant life!
If you feel as if you are not quite free yet, don’t worry. Ann Perry, well known numerologist, reassures us we still have time in January to release what doesn’t serve us (Source: Ann Perry – January 2024 Numerology Forecast - You’ve Still Got Time). As a “nine month,” January’s
energy supports us in letting go of anything that can hold us back from manifesting our best lives in 2024. Things to consider are relationships that no longer work for you, unhealthy habits that negatively impact your health, a need for better boundaries, and limiting beliefs. Purging physical items makes space to bring in the new that you want to manifest. Perry even suggests examining the way you make money as to whether it aligns with your core values. When the work that you do, your career, aligns with your values, you will be happy at work, and easily bring in more money. Forgiveness is also important in releasing – not only forgiveness of others but also of yourself. Financial Abundance
A large focus of the number eight is with regard to financial stability. This year we can enjoy financial abundance and influence as long as we remain diligent. Watch your transactions
and choose wisely. In angel numbers, the number eight speaks most specifically to making wise career choices. Those who have successfully come through the life lessons in money will prosper and share their blessings generously and wisely. For those who have not, they will continue to be afraid of money but will be preoccupied with it. This can look like worry about not having enough money, worry about how to handle too much money, etc. What is important again, is to see the positive in the challenges we face with money. Remember that money is energy and needs to flow – just like the figure eight – what comes in must go out and vice versa. If you can catch your negative thoughts, words, and beliefs about money and change them to the positive, I promise you, you will move through your lessons with money with grace and reap the abundance they can bring. Abundance in Power, Leadership, and Authority
The eight year also brings us abundance in power. This may manifest in opportunities to shine as a leader or benevolently handle increased authority in both personal and professional areas of your life. Based on past lessons, you may easily take on these qualities or you may encounter more learning that comes with more power. The fear of, or preoccupation with issues of power, control, and recognition, as well as self sabotaging in these areas, are signs of lessons waiting to be learned. The eighth card in traditional tarot reminds us to take a disciplined approach to maintaining our personal power and not to give that power away. The eighth card in the major arcana of angel tarot is that of Justice. It reminds us that as we
stand in our power or learn about power, we should also embody justice. It tells us that when acting with authority, is to also act with fairness, integrity, and according to the golden rule – treat others as you would have them treat you. A great leader acknowledges and supports those they lead. To lead with power and authority is also to lead with wisdom. As we stand in our power, we stand up for our beliefs, for our truth. But in our wisdom, we also respect the beliefs of others as they discover their own truth. Archangel Raguel who assists us to resolve situations of disharmony, reminds us to remain impartial and objective. We can share our wisdom, but it is up to those we share with whether they are ready to, or even wish to, accept what we offer. So, if you are coming into an abundance of power this year, work with it wisely and you will reap the benefits.
Abundant Strength
According to another well-known numerologist, Vikki MacKinnon, eight is also a number of
physical, emotional, and mental strength as well as strength of character. She states that it is a “bold and decisive energy” that provides us with “clarity, strength of purpose, a sense of direction, and a commitment to action.” (Source: Vikki MacKinnon – Facebook) This year’s energy will support you in building strength in all of these areas. As our external world continues to bombard us with negativity that can take its toll on our body, mind, and spirit, use the energy of this year to help you bounce back; to build your strength and take your power back. When working with the energy of this year, the eighth card in traditional tarot, which is the Strength card, reminds you that you have immense inner strength. You have the personal power and strength to accomplish all of your goals in this year of supercharged abundant manifestation. As you work through the challenges of unfinished lessons it reassures you that every challenge contributes to your strength. If you have days when you feel “anything but strong” take a moment to review all of your triumphs of the past, all of the challenges you have overcome, and you will find that inner strength.
Karma – Abundant Learning, Transparency, and Accountability
Building on the work of the previous year, we can move forward in reaping the abundant rewards of that work. An “eight year” is also one of Karma. Just like the figure eight, what goes around, comes around. You will either reap the rewards of all the hard work you have put into learning your life lessons, or if you have not put in the work or are not quite finished, you will be hit with a reality check that you cannot ignore. This is the year to truly be accountable for our lives, for our actions, for our words. As we remain open to looking with honesty and transparency at ourselves, we will see the karmic lessons we still need to learn. As we take on that learning, the action energy of the eight year will help us move forward. When you encounter what might feel like a negative situation, try to see positively and with gratitude for the learning it is bringing you and you will move through the situation quicker. Whether you have come through your karmic lessons or are still learning, either perspective is a gift. Both will move you forward in your spiritual growth.
As Above, So Below
The two circles joining to make the eight illustrate the concept “as above, so below.” It is a reminder that whatever we put out into the Universe with our thoughts/intentions, words, feelings, actions, and beliefs we will manifest. This is true all of the time but is amplified in an eight year. In other words, whatever you put out to the Universe, including the stories we tell ourselves, will manifest in abundance. Abraham Hicks tells us that if you hold a thought for seventeen seconds the law of attraction kicks in and when you hold it for sixty-eight seconds manifestation begins. So, the best advice is to stay positive in everything that you think, say, feel, do, and believe. Change the stories you tell about yourself to positive ones. For example, instead of thinking and telling others that you are “too stupid to learn something new,” change that story to “how brilliant you are that learning new things comes easy”. Does that sound too difficult? Have you tried before and met defeat? I cannot give you a reason for that as there could be many such as not the right time, deeply buried sabotaging beliefs etc. However, Spirit wants to remind you that only you can change your life and your story, but you can call on Spirit for assistance.
In angel numbers, the eight reassures us that our prayers have been received and are being answered. Working with Archangel Sandalphon can expediate that process. When we become that instrument of peace, we are not only living in abundant love and light, we are also creating that environment for others. Listen to your intuition as this year’s energy assists you in accessing your inner power, addressing karmic lessons, and building your strength, so that you shine your true light, showing others the beautiful being you truly are. This year’s energy will help you share love and compassion abundantly with others far and wide. As your positive intentions manifest in abundance, you will be a light for others to follow.

It is the card, The Universe, and it expands on the message about “as above, so below.” The Universe wants you to know that this is your year for growth, change, and spiritual awakening. It is a time of action and alignment; a time to let go of all that does not align and bring in all that does. The card concurs with the energy of eight in telling you that your prayers are being heard and so trust God/Source/the Universe to assist you in creating the abundant life you deserve where you can shine your light the brightest.
