It's Time to Rewrite Your Story

As we move into a new month and new energy, Spirit is telling us that it is time to rewrite our
story. As discussed over the last couple of blogs, we are still in the time of multiple planetary retrogrades. We have had time to slow down, review, and re-examine different aspects of our lives, different versions of our old story. Were you able to “take the nap” that last week’s card advised, take a pause to look at where you currently are on your life path? Were you able to celebrate your successes so far and surrender to the guidance that Spirit has brought forward for you? Some of the planetary retrogrades are telling us to slow down but the new energy of this “eight month” is telling us to move forward and manifest. How do we deal with this seemingly conflicting energy to rewrite our story? Let's take a look…
It's All About Balance
Spirit told us at the beginning of the year that August would be a month about balance (See Angel Messages for Each Month of 2025, Part 2: July-December). Spirit foretold that we would be juggling many priorities. That may sound familiar as these retrogrades bring up issues regarding responsibility, boundaries, old relationships, and moving into our true identity. They are giving us the opportunity to release many things that no longer serve us and become more closely aligned with who we truly are. At times that can seem overwhelming. So how do we balance this struggle and move forward? Spirit advised us at the beginning of the year to simply “decide what is most important to you.” We can use some of this reflective time to be in our heart and really feel what is a priority to us. That priority will be different for each of you. What is most important is that it is your priority and not one dictated by others around you or by events in your environment. Remember, you have freedom of choice, and your only responsibility is to yourself.
The energy of eight speaks to “as above, so below.” Once we decide on our spiritual priorities, we can determine how we want to move forward. Our card for this month at the beginning of the year was from the Suit of Earth which is all about material goods. For this month, the move forward energy of manifestation supports us not only in manifesting material goods but also spiritual growth. The key is to take our time and balance our focus between the two. As you feel the push-pull of the slow down retrograde energy and the go-go-go of the manifestation energy, remember to stay grounded, and support yourself with self-care. Remember too that you are not in this alone. Reach out for help when you need it.
Time to Decide
Spirit has talked to us many times before about our free will and our ability to make choices for ourselves. Spirit is telling us now as we have entered the next half of this year of intense transformation, that it is time to dig deep and decide to align with who we truly are. As we approach the Lion’s Gate portal on August 8th, we are supported with the intense energy of manifestation. What better time to finally release those deep, deep issues that the retrogrades have brought up and to realign with our true selves to co-create the life we are meant to live going forward? Have you surrendered those parts of your old story that no longer align with who you truly are? Can you decide to release relationships, situations, thoughts, and beliefs that no longer serve you? Can you decide what your priorities are? Are you getting closer to seeing and feeling who you truly are? As you make these choices can you embrace the new identity of your true self?
Rewriting Your Story
So how do you rewrite your story? You have dug deep, you have surrendered, you have released, and now you are ready. How do you start?
First, Spirit would like to remind you not to “throw the baby out with the bathwater.” Remember those successes that you celebrated last month? Remember the “ah ha” moments, the lessons learned, and the deepening feeling of alignment with your purpose and build on those. They are the foundation for your rewritten story.
Second, it is time to gain clarity on your life's goals and purpose. What are your dreams? What would bring you joy every day? What is your passion? What feels aligned with your soul? There are many ways to answer these questions, and you may already have some of them. If you don't, you may want to try time spent in quiet meditation, time connecting with nature, journaling, engaging in a creative activity, or reaching out to others for a deeper understanding through such modalities as oracle cards, numerology, astrology, akashic record reading, or other guidance from Spiritual practitioners. Choose whatever resonates with you.
Next, start to replace those old story thoughts, feelings, and beliefs with new ones that align with your goals and purpose. Continue to create the details of your new story. What will your relationships look like? What will your physical environment be like? What will your experiences be like with health and wealth? How will you be living aligned with your purpose? What will be bringing you joy?
Lastly, follow through on those thoughts, feelings, and beliefs with action. That action will come from the heart grounded in love and will bring you joy.
Rewriting the story is not an overnight endeavour. You will have many moments of moving
forward but you may also have some times where you feel you have slid backwards. Spirit wants to reassure you that you are always supported and that any of those backward slides are meant to happen. So, get curious and see them as opportunities to learn even more, to build a stronger foundation for your new story. Remember that each and every one of you has your own timeline and that everything happens on perfect Divine timing for you.
In a previous blog we spoke about the Power of Words and Spirit wants to remind you again about that power especially during this time of immense manifestation. As we say in the Spiritual community, always keep your thoughts and words positive. As you move forward co-creating your new life, rewriting your story, try to reframe everything from a positive perspective. For example, as you work through lessons about responsibility, the word “should” will likely be eliminated from your vocabulary. “Should” implies acting on obligation or on something that you feel others expect of you. When your actions align with who you are and with your purpose, they are heart centred and not obligatory. Words such as “never,” “always,” “won't,” and “can’t” often reflect victim mode and support manifesting from victim reality. For example, you may be upset about being the only one to do the housework in your family. So, when you think, feel, or say “I never get any help with the housework,” the Universe hears that and you will continue to manifest the same situation. Likewise, if you say, “I won't ever make enough money to own my own home,” guess what? For as long as you put that thought and belief out to the Universe you likely will not own your own home. So, Spirit is reminding you to think and speak positively about what you do want to create versus what you do not.
Sometimes those negative thoughts and phrases are difficult to change. That is because they are based on some deeply held beliefs. If you are having difficulty manifesting positive outcomes, get curious and ask yourself “why?” You may want to work with your guides and angels to assist you by showing you what you need to know about a belief system that no longer serves you. We spoke about core beliefs in a previous blog, What's Your Story. Your story is often written based on beliefs that were formed when you were a child and given to you by others. Often those beliefs are related to health, money, self worth, abandonment, or other core basic needs of the human existence. Once you discover those beliefs, you can release them if they no longer serve you and rewrite them to support your new story.
Embrace Change to Transform
Fear of change may provide a stumbling block to rewriting your story. What is important is to understand that fear is rooted in the ego. The ego’s block to change is its way of protecting you. Understanding where that fear comes from helps you to set it aside so you can move forward. Change may also be difficult because you are just plain tired of so many changes this year. That change fatigue is totally understandable. Spirit is reminding you that you can make a choice about the pace of your change and that you will be supported in that choice. However, as our Angel Message from last week tells us, the winds of change are here. Change would not be presented to us if it did not serve us. As difficult as it might be, we must embrace change so we can continue to transform. Hold the vision of the future you want to manifest, ask your angels and guides for support, and the change will be easier.
This week Spirit reminded me of a quantum consciousness experience I had where I met my future self. The journey to meeting her was a long and gently winding path out into the cosmos. At each turn in the path there was an open book with its pages gently flipping in the wind. It was not until today when Spirit gave me the topic for their message that I realized that at each turn in my path I have been rewriting my story as I am sure we all do. They are telling me now, that with each rewrite the story gets richer and richer. Somewhere along the way they also told me part of the story would include “passing the torch” to another. This was illustrated in a change in my morning meditation in which for almost two years now, I have led my children and grandchildren as we worked with our Dragons to bring supportive energy to the planet. This week, Spirit showed me my children and grandchildren venturing forward on their own as I stayed back proudly watching them. It was a beautiful moment of “passing the torch” and I knew that that part of my journey was changing to make space for what was coming next. How many rewrites have you had? Believe and Trust
As you write that new story, as you move forward co-creating the life you are meant to live,
Spirit reminds you how important it is to BELIEVE in yourself and to TRUST that Spirit is always supporting you. Everyone has been going through massive changes this year as has the planet herself, and we will continue to do so moving forward to a beautiful bright future. The manifestation energy of this month is an opportunity to take a giant step forward. Fill your heart with love and envision the life that you want to live. Believe that you are worthy of it and believe that you can co-create that reality with Source. Trust that the Divine wants you to live a life of joy and will guide you along the way. Once you have that clear vision and belief nothing can stop you! I am looking forward to hearing your new story.
