Have you had peace on your mind lately? Perhaps you are seeking personal peace or wishing for global peace? If you have, then this week’s card from the beautiful deck, Luminous Messengers is for you. Today’s card from this very special deck is Peacekeeper. The deck was created by one of my daughters as a gift for me. Every time I use this deck I feel the love, hope, and inspiration embodied in every card and I hope you do too. Today’s card is so appropriate for the turbulent times we feel our planet going through. Are you feeling that energy lately? Have you been struggling with emotions on a rollercoaster, physical illness, or immense fatigue? I know I have! Perhaps Peacekeeper has some messages that will help us feel better.
My Messages:
“The Weight of the World”
Many of you reading this are healers and Peacekeepers. You strive to have inner and outer
peace. You create peace in the world around you. Much of your day may be spent helping family or friends resolve conflicts with other individuals or organizational bureaucracies. You may find yourself embroiled personally in the same type of conflicts that you are working to resolve or perhaps you foresee potential conflict that you work at warding off. I can’t tell you how many times a week I catch myself starting into the role of “referee” between two family members or friends. What about you? You even may spend a fair bit of time being stressed over the conflicts occurring on a global basis such as wars, citizen uprisings, protests, or even political arguments spread across countries by the media. All of this makes you feel, as the card points out, like you are carrying “the weight of the world” on your shoulders.
You also strive for inner peace, an inner calm that comes when you are aligned with your purpose and trust “the Universe has your back.” In your efforts to reach that calm, the ego may be presenting conflicts. Every time you desire to move forward with something you feel is in your highest good, the fearful voice of the ego may present arguments that hold you back. You may be feeling good about something, but the ego then appears to pull you down with thoughts of you being non-deserving of the praise.
If you are an Empath your struggles as a Peacekeeper may be amplified. You feel the conflict of others more, even those that are not obvious or visible. In your efforts to offer healing to situations that not only call to you as an Empath but also as a Peacekeeper, you may end up overserving. This could result in extreme fatigue and physical illness. Does any of this sound familiar? Some of these struggles may have intensified over the last several weeks as we moved from Halloween or Samhain, to the 11:11 portal, all times when the veil to the other side is thin and our spiritual gifts have the opportunity to grow rapidly. That growth can be confusing and tiring as we work through the additional challenges that help us grow. So how do we achieve that peace that the Peacekeeper so desperately seeks?
Release and Responsibility
Tonight’s full moon provides an excellent opportunity for Peacekeepers to become more aligned with their purpose, to strive towards the peace that we seek. As with all full moons, it is a time to release what no longer serves us. All of those issues that have been coming forward lately, old wounds that you thought were healed, or relationships that are “on their last legs”, have come to your attention for a reason. This Supermoon energy is supporting us in finally reconciling the lessons these experiences have brought forward for us. Instead of groaning and sighing, “Not again,” it’s time to take a deeper look and ask, “What am I missing?” If you can find some quiet time to sit, then quiet your mind and ask the question, the answer will come. If the ego is really playing interference, visualize a whirlpool of water going down a drain and take every random thought that pops into your head disturbing your quiet, and see it going down the drain. You are releasing it to create the space to focus. When those random thoughts slow down, then ask the question again, “What am I missing?” “What am I still to learn from this situation?” Breathe deeply, relax, and wait. The answers will come as a thought, feeling, or even a sign from Spirit. You may want to write down the answers and later burn them as part of your release. Or you can just visualize taking all those challenges, feelings, thoughts, etc. and putting them into a flame rising from a figure eight at your feet to be burned and transmuted into positive energy.
As a healer and Peacekeeper, you may have life lessons in responsibility. I know I do, and I am grateful that I am very close to the back end of them! What about you? Do you feel compelled to help or even “rescue” others even when they don’t want it? Do you shield others from their hard lessons because you care for them so much? Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed, or “dumped on,” or even resentful because you are so busy helping others that you have no time for yourself? If you do, you are not alone. I have spent my entire life trying to “keep the peace” and help others at every turn. It was only late in life as that pattern took its toll on my health that, with the help of some good friends, I started to finally grasp my lesson in responsibility. I have learned, as you have heard me say in other newsletters, that we are only truly responsible for ourselves. I learned that I needed to create boundaries so I could stay healthy. I also learned that by “rescuing” I was preventing that person from learning their lessons. If I solved every problem for them, when would they learn to support themselves? I saw my loving, self sacrificing acts from a different perspective where I was actually impeding their spiritual growth. So as difficult as it was at first, I held back and gave them space to own their journey. In the end, as they worked through those lessons, the celebration was much greater than if I had simply “done it for them.” Do you see any areas in your life where you might have a lesson in responsibility? Are you ready to let go?
Transformation
As we release with the full moon, we are open to the “new solutions and beginnings” that the card speaks to. Tonight’s full moon is also called the “Beaver Moon” because this is the time of year when the beaver prepares for the change in seasons, a time of transformation. With this full moon energy (which will linger for a few days after the full moon) take some time to “go within,” to reconnect with your higher self and your purpose. This is a time when you may be able to see the “new solutions” to finding the peace that you seek. Taking time for some self care – a quiet walk in nature, a bubble bath, meditations, or simply doing something that brings you joy – will help you make that reconnection. Every time we sit in joy, when we are mindful, we find the clarity that bring us closer to our true purpose.
When you discover or reaffirm your destination, your purpose, symbolized on the card by the light at the centre of the beautiful blue sky surrounded by the golden light of epiphanies and opportunity, release the “how” of how you will get there. Trust that Spirit will present the best path for you. The options are as diverse and numerous as the many figures on the card are, all headed to the same destination. Picture yourself as the angel on the card – not at the front of the group leading everyone, showing them the way – but rather amongst the group allowing them to move forward on their own. So too the opportunities perfect for you will come forward on their own. Trust that the Universe has your back, and you do not need to experience overwhelm trying to make things happen. Be open to any and all possibilities.
Balance
The orange colour on the card, the symmetry of the crowd, and the word “selflessness” remind us that achieving balance is important as a Peacekeeper. That balance can be between inner and outer peace, between the physical and spiritual world, or between time for self and others. Releasing overserving will help to achieve balance.
Being Heart Centred
The card also speaks about having compassion which is an emotion related to being heart centred. More people are waking up the importance of living and acting from the heart versus the head. As a Peacekeeper, you are likely sending love and compassion to others frequently. Spirit wants to remind you to also feel that for yourself. It is the love and compassion that truly heals. I mentioned earlier that some of you may be feeling called to help achieve peace on a global scale and may be wondering, “How can I do that? I am only one person.” Spirit wants you to be reassured that everything you do has an impact on the rest of the world. We are all energy, and we are all connected in that energy. So, if you spend time on healing for yourself or working on your personal peace, that has a ripple effect energetically to those around you and then those around them, and so on. You may also feel called upon to send love and light to specific areas or conflicts around the world for peace. I have been sending love and peace to war-torn areas every day for over a year in my morning meditation. You can do the same if you feel called to. The more who engage in that type of practice, the more powerful the energy is.
Guidebook Messages:
Currently this deck does not have a guidebook. My daughter and I will be working together to create one in the future.
I hope this reading was meaningful for you. In the increasing turmoil on our planet, I believe
more and more Peacekeepers are being called forward. As Lightworkers, we are being called upon to find our own inner peace so that in turn we can help others, and the planet do the same. So, remember the self care, finding balance, and having love and compassion in your heart for you as well as for others will serve you well in your Peacekeeper role. You may also want to work with Archangel Chamuel who is the Archangel of Finding Peace. Together we will lighten the weight of the world, and we will help humanity move forward to a bright new beginning.
I would love to hear your feedback about how this card’s message has resonated with you. If you find that you are wanting some assistance with being a Peacekeeper, I am offering individual intuitive counselling, angel numerology, and angel card readings online or in person (in Calgary).
Lots of love and hugs,
Marilyn
