Angel Messages - Archangel Zadkiel

A specific deck has been asking all week to provide the card for today. It seems fitting that as we draw nearer to Christmas Day, that The 22 Archangels Oracle by Kyle Gray would be offering up today’s card. According to the deck’s creator, the Archangels “are a divine league of angels who have been charged by the light of God to serve, protect, heal, and guide humanity towards wholeness.” This deck is a bridge between realms so that we can tap into the support from the Archangels. The Archangel who has stepped forward today is Archangel Zadkiel.

My Messages

Final Release

The subtitle of the card is “Karmic Release.” What better card for the final days of this huge

year of release and transformation? In fact, Archangel Zadkiel is the Guardian of the Violet Flame of Transformation and Healing. The Violet Flame is a powerful energetic tool for helping us to release the negative energy of whatever does not serve us. Archangel Zadkiel is reminding us to focus on these last days of 2025 on releasing any old karma, negative thoughts and beliefs, and any blocks to our moving forward. This month, many have felt the last resurgence of lessons we thought we had already learned. The last fragments have circled back one more time for a final release/transmutation. Archangel Zadkiel can assist us by holding the Violet Flame as we visualize that negativity move out of us and into the flame to be transmuted.

Not sure what you have left to release? Archangel Zadkiel can help us look back and review our journey. He can help us understand our challenges so that we can overcome them and feel more balanced. He helps us embody mercy, forgiveness, compassion, and tolerance. He helps us heal memories and achieve calmness. He helps us release negative emotions such as worry, anxiety, and irritation. He helps heal other challenges with mental capacity such as mental illness and addictions.

Be in Your Heart

The image of Archangel Zadkiel shows him holding the Violet Flame over the heart. As we transmute that negative energy, we can more easily remain in our heart, seeing and relating to the world from a heart centred space of love and compassion. There appears to be a figure in the centre of that heart space flame reminding us that that is where we will find our true selves. Archangel Zadkiel also helps us remember our purpose. As we work with the Violet Flame and become more heart centred, we become more aligned with our purpose. (Interestingly, this image is similar to seeing myself at the centre of the white lotus – see last week’s blog “The White Lotus.”)

With Forgiveness Comes Freedom

As the card states, “It’s time to release what’s holding you back and step into a more radiant self.” When we work with the Violet Flame, we clear a path to move forward on our journey. Releasing with the highest vibration of the Violet Flame brings us joy and freedom. No longer weighted down by negative thoughts, feelings, beliefs, behaviours, and karma, we are free to pursue our passion and realign with our purpose. Now is the perfect time to realign as we approach 2026 – a “one universal year” full of new beginnings and exciting promises.

Archangel Zadkiel’s colour is, of course, violet/purple. This is the colour of our connection to Spirit which can be enhanced with the aid of Archangel Zadkiel. It is also the colour of leadership, reminding us that we are the leaders of our lives. We are the only one’s responsible for how we proceed along our life journey. In this coming “one year” we can take the lead in our life, focusing on our growth, our role as a co-creator of our own reality as well as our contribution to the collective consciousness. As we “release what holds us back," we shine brighter and become a “more radiant self” contributing to the enlightenment of the planet.

Archange Zadkiel adds one precaution as you step forward into your breathtaking freedom,

“Be gentle with yourself.” You have done so much work this past year and if you take up Archangel Zadkiel on his offer of help, you will dig deep to release those last fragments into the Violet Flame. Once you do, he is suggesting you give yourself some time to rest and enjoy the peace you have earned. Take time to breathe and be still in your heart. Become accustomed to living from that compassionate, loving space. Your newfound freedom will not run away. It will wait for you to step into a beautiful co-creating year of new beginnings.

The divine counterpart of Amethyst, he governs a spiritual energy called the Violet Flame – a space that we can visit in meditation and prayer and an energy that can be invoked to help us release from our energy fields anything that has been unsettling or traumatic. He is an angel of justice, alongside Michael and Raguel.

Your Message

Whenever Zadkiel comes to you, it’s because you are shedding old skins and stepping into a renewed, more radiant self. You are being encouraged to detach from drama now. This is an opportunity to disengage to step away from anyone or anything that is turning you into a version of yourself that you no longer recognize. Angels are here to help you realize that everyone and everything on your path is an opportunity – and sometimes it’s an opportunity to say “no” and walk away. That is the message today: it's time to release yourself from anything that is an emotional and energetic drain so that you can be free once more.

If you find yourself holding onto something you know deep down is causing you concern and pain, this is an opportunity to take giant steps toward healing and growth. When you release yourself, you take a leap into self-worth and self-respect, and then self-love. Angels are here to acknowledge the emotionally overwhelming time you’ve endured and to let you know you have the chance to free yourself forevermore. Release the stories that are no longer yours to live.”
