Congratulations! You have made it through the intense energies of the Lion’s Gate Portal. Have

ree

you been able to ride those energies in creating your new story as we talked about a couple of blogs ago? How is that rewrite going? Have you had revelations about belief systems that no longer serve you and been able to release them? Are you coming to know your true identity and are you finding the path to your purpose? If you are, congratulations! Those are huge steps forward in your spiritual growth. OR are you stuck? Is there still confusion about unlearned lessons? Are old scenarios coming back to haunt you? Are you wondering who you really are? Are you so tired or distracted that you want to throw your hands up in despair? If the latter scenarios describe you, don’t give up! You will get there and here is how…

“I Just Can't Do This Anymore”

If the phrase above describes how you are feeling these days, let's pause for a moment and ask “why?” Many of us are still facing old challenges that persistently and repeatedly present themselves to us. Each time they surface we are either surprised, disappointed, or distressed because we really thought the last time we dealt with them would be THE last time. Right? Well, Spirit has a way of bringing up those huge challenges and big life lessons again just to ask us “Are you sure you're finished with this?” If we are truly getting to the back end of that challenge and learning that life lesson, we will not be as emotionally triggered as we have been on previous occasions, or the emotional response may be different. Each time it circles back to us, we will glean a little bit more information about the lesson and be more confident in our response to the challenge. When we finally get to a place of a neutral response to a similar situation, we know we have learned and integrated the teachings that were presented to us.

Here is an example from my life… For several years now I have been the delegated primary care provider for an elderly family member. Although they live on their own, there are many daily or weekly tasks to perform to help support their independence such as banking, laundry, grocery shopping, monitoring of their physical and emotional health, arranging for and attending their medical appointments, responding to emotional and/or medical crises,

etc. Most of the time I will take those in stride as it is supporting their independence and happiness. However, when I was called upon again this week to respond to an urgent

ree

medical matter, I really had to stop and examine my emotional response to that request. This time, my initial feeling was one of real distress both in response to them being in pain and to my own fatigue of having yet another thing to attend to in my day. The thought did cross my mind, “I just can’t do this anymore.”

So, I took a deep breath and stepped back to look at this scenario and my emotional response. I immediately went to my logical mind and started to analyze. Why was I feeling this way? Was this another lesson in responsibility? Did I need to have stronger boundaries? Should I be relinquishing this responsibility and allowing other family members to step up? As I stayed with the logic and looked at all the possible answers to those questions, I felt stuck. I could not see a way out. I could not see any other options for assistance for them. Even comparing my situation to that of a friend’s was not helpful because from my perspective, our circumstances were different. So, I sat in that stuck place for a while until I realized I needed to get out of my head and to again move into my heart. When I did, I had an immediate, huge, tearful release. I could feel the “should’s” of obligation be replaced with compassion. I could feel the “should’s” coming from others about learning lessons in responsibility fall away. What became important to me was reconnecting with what I truly felt I wanted to do in this situation. I felt reconnected to one of my core values of being loving, compassionate and supportive for my fellow human beings whenever I can and I allowed that to guide me. I asked my guides and angels for help in making the best decision about how to respond both for the person needing help AND for me.

As I worked through this, I realized that my distress and fatigue came from the lack of response of others to help this family member’s situation. Then it dawned on me. This scenario was presenting a lesson in judgment for me, not responsibility. I was judging them for not supporting this family member. AND I was also judging myself for failing at finding other options of help for them. Then I remembered that I cannot judge others because I do not know their complete story and I can be free from judging myself because at all times I truly am trying to do my best. I also remembered that judgement is not compassion, so it was not aligned with my core value. Once I recognized and released that judgment and acted on my compassion for my family member, both of our days went better, and we both had positive outcomes. So, remember, coming from the heart will help you see and feel the true manner of challenging situations and will guide you to finding the answers that you need. Also remember that Spirit is always there to support you in those challenging endeavors.

Which Direction Is the Correct One?

As we continue to release more of our old story, more of those things, places, and people that

ree

no longer serve us, new directions open up. With so much change sometimes it truly is difficult to decide which is the best path forward. Are you at that crossroads? Do you feel like you are in a holding pattern? Do you feel you were stalled, or do you have so many distractions popping up that you cannot see any path forward clearly? As we talked about before, when you are at a crossroads patience is important. Sometimes Spirit knows that we need to pause and catch our breath. If you have a life lesson in patience, this pause will be difficult. However, it is the perfect opportunity to recognize it for what it is and to move closer to the back end of the life lesson in patience. Allow yourself the quiet time to find joy in life and to tend to your spiritual growth, your physical health, or whatever other needs that serve you that you have put on hold. With patience all of the pieces will eventually fall into place on the perfect Divine timeline for you and that path forward will become clear.

Some of you may feel that you are ready to choose a path but distraction after distraction stops you from moving forward. Usually when this happens, you are not quite ready to take that next step. There may be some unfinished business with lessons still to learn. More commonly, there may be a deep buried fear of what you are being asked to move into, so you are creating those distractions to delay your progress. Again, these distractions that delay you are a prompt to get curious. What are those distractions? Are they more important to you than moving forward? How are you feeling about the delay that the distractions induce? Is there another way to deal with the distracting issues that pop up so that you can move forward? Once you uncover the root cause of the distractions you will be able to address it and move them out of your way.

Some of us may be ready to move forward but there seems to be too many different directions to choose from. Spirit wants you to know that none of them will be the “wrong” choice. Some paths may be a little more convoluted than others as we move closer to our purpose, to our goals. Others may be more straightforward. Know that you will always choose the path that serves you the best. Even if it feels as if you are doubling back to the starting point, there will be valuable lessons that you bring with you. So, Spirit is saying, “Just choose. Take action. Step forward.”

Stay in Your Heart

ree

I know I speak frequently about living from the heart, but I cannot emphasize enough how important that is. Our mind and heart must work together. Remember, how we feel is more important than what we think as we move forward in life. It is the vibration of our emotions that create our reality. Some of you may have been feeling that your emotions are “all over the place” this month. They are important to pay attention to. Notice what the triggers are. If events, people, places, or things elicit a negative emotion from you such as anger, worry, anxiety, sadness, grief, or fear, it is because it is time to release what they are attached to. To do that, it is important to get at the root of that emotion. Often the cause is a deep-rooted fear or belief that does not serve you. As we have mentioned before, you can release that fear or belief by looking into where it has come from to understand it, or by simply choosing to release the hold it has over you. In its place allow the love of the Divine to flood in and support you.

If on the other hand, you have sudden unexpected episodes of positive emotions such as joy, excitement, happiness, contentment, gratitude, or overwhelming love, embrace those moments. Too often our immediate response to these positive moments is to become suspicious or question why we are feeling that way. Spirit is asking you to embrace and go with the flow of the beautiful emotions that you deserve to have in your life. Recognize the beautiful moments, things, people, and places that they come from. The more we allow ourselves to sit in and soak up those positive emotions, the more of them we will create in our lives. Feel them in your heart and allow your heart space to expand and spread that positive energy to all of those around you.

Don't Give Up!

So, as we move through this powerful energetic month, don't give up! All of the ups and downs, the challenges and successes, have been placed on your path because you CAN address them to accelerate your spiritual growth. Remember as your new identity unfolds, to believe in the amazing, beautiful, soul that you are. Believe in the strength that you have to

move forward past any adversity. Believe that you will achieve your goals that align with your purpose. Replace the challenges with what brings you joy; with whatever gets you excited. Remember too that growth takes time. Know that you are transforming at exactly the perfect pace for you. Also, as you do some of the tough spiritual work, trust that Spirit is always,

always there to support you. In tough times all you need to do is ask for that support and it

ree

will be given. Remember too, that we are all connected as one, so please reach out to others if you are struggling or be available to shine your light brightly to help others find their path. Above all, don’t give up! The world needs you.

Sending you love and light,

Marilyn
