The Angel Card drawn for today is from the Archangel Power Tarot Cards deck created by Radleigh Valentine. It is the Three from the suite of Ariel.
As discussed in the Dec 23 Angel Messages newsletter, this deck works with the Archangels who give us help and assistance when we ask for it. They are messengers of the Divine and work with humanity to provide love, guidance, healing, and support. Of the fifteen major archangels, the four chosen to represent the four suites of the minor arcana of the deck are Gabrielle, Raphael, Michael, and Ariel. The suite of Ariel is about our physical world. The suite deals with parts of our daily life including physical health, career, education, and our planet.
Archangel Ariel is known as the “Lioness of God”. She is the archangel associated with nature and sending messages on the wind; with abundance and prosperity in all things – money, health, relationships; with manifestation and Divine magic; and with courage and finding your power.
My Messages:
Archangel Ariel’s message of “Do what you love” continues the theme of love that Spirit has been discussing with us over the last couple of months. Archangel Ariel is encouraging us to find joy in every day by doing what we love in our physical world. Just pause for a moment and think about what you really love doing? What activity brings a smile to your face and makes your heart sing? Is it your career or a specific activity at work? Is it a physical activity –
perhaps your exercise routine, singing, dancing, judo, yoga, boxing? Is it your hobbies or creative endeavours – painting, writing, cooking, woodworking, sewing, quilting, reading, playing chess, playing guitar, piano or the flute? Is it self care – meditation, a luxurious hot bath, time in nature, a nutritious meal with friends? What do you love to do?
If you are having difficulty thinking about something you love to do, remember when you were a child. What brought you happiness then? Is there a common theme in your life today? Have others observed and commented on you doing something you seemed to enjoy? If you can’t think of something right away, that is ok. Ask friends or family to brainstorm with you or sit quietly and ask Spirit, especially Archangel Ariel, to help you recognize what you love to do. Perhaps look at the picture on the card for something that might ring true for you. The fellow opening the box shows us that what we love to do is a true treasure that brings a brightness and magic into our lives. If your treasure has been buried for a while, don’t despair. You will discover it again.
Conversely, perhaps the faded background in the picture is a sign to let the past go and move forward to discover a new treasure. The red airplane tells us to “fly with your passion.” Red is the colour of passion, the colour of what you love. The image of the plane is clear and suspended in flight, reminding us to move forward with what we love to do.
Once you recognize what you love to do, how often do you do it? Are you fortunate to have that experience every day or far less frequently that you would like? Doing what we love daily not only brings us joy but keeps the momentum of positivity in our life. By doing what we love, we experience joy, contentment, happiness, love – all of which are high vibrating emotions. These not only enhance our physical and emotional health, but the vibration is contagious. It affects those around us in a positive manner. There is a ripple effect.
Often though, we are so busy with the day to day routine of our lives that we seldom stop to notice and participate in what we really love to do. Many people put the things they love to do as the last item on their “to do” list, thinking they will get to it “if I have time.” I for one, have been guilty of that for most of my life. I was putting off doing what I loved “until I had time to really enjoy it.” The problem is, I rarely got to the end of my list! Until I changed the order of “the list,” I never got to many of the things I really love to do. Does that sound familiar? Archangel Ariel is encouraging you to move what you love to do to the top of the list. God/the Creator/ Source/the Divine wants you to experience joy in your life. You deserve it!
So how do you move doing what you love to the “top of the list”? The first thing is to remember that you are worthy of doing what you love. You may see others who seem to do what they love and live extremely happy, enchanted lives. You might wish to live a life like them but think or believe that you can’t. We are all children of the Divine. We are all equal in the eyes of the Divine so you deserve to have that same experience as others who appear to be “more fortunate.” Part of feeling worthy is loving yourself and acknowledging that you are important. Honour yourself by doing what you want to do versus prioritizing things out of obligation or because someone else told you what to do. The empty cage in the image tells us that we are free to do what we love. Is something or someone blocking you from doing what you love? Can you break free from that cage? The key is believing you can.
The next step is to realize that you DO have the time to do what you love. The clocks in the image are a reminder of that. The angels are telling us “it is time” to do what we love and to “take all the time in the world” for ourselves as we are important. For some, it may also take time to feel comfortable with putting yourself first and doing what you love. The angels are saying “no pressure” – go at your own pace. Whatever happens with timing, it will be perfect for you.
The card also speaks to us about being in a time of “great personal growth in your career or artistic endeavours.” Archangel Ariel is telling us that the growth is going to come from doing what we love. Remember, Archangel Ariel is the archangel of manifestation and abundance. Would you like to manifest a life of abundance doing what you love? The number three is not only about growth and expansion, but also the number of creativity and communication. You can be creative in what you love to do to grow into your abundance. The tools on the table appear to be carving tools to remind us that we are the creator of our lives and that we can “carve out” what we want for our future.
Part of your personal growth may also be exploring or developing your spiritual gifts. This is
the year for personal spiritual growth. Archangel Ariel appearing as the dancer in the traditional ballerina jewellery box is telling us to “dance to the beat of your own heart” or “dance to the beat of your own drum.” In other words, she is telling you to listen to your intuition and be true to your unique self in doing what you love to do. When we do that, the lantern in the image tells us that we will shine our light brighter.
Part of shining our light is to help others. The card also tells us to “work with others in a cooperative manner.” The cogs on the table remind us that we are all “cogs in a wheel” meaning we are part of a bigger whole and that we are all connected. We can work with others, including Spirit, in doing what we love and to accelerate our growth. Cooperation is a two way street – others can help you find your passion and being filled with joy by doing what you love shares that high vibration with others. You can also shine your light to lead the way for others to find happiness or explore their own growth.
Guidebook Messages:
“Do what you love! It is important to follow your passions and do your very best work. There is great talent and skill present. The task at hand can be a joyful experience and may bring recognition or financial reward. This is a time of great personal growth in your career or artistic endeavours.
Working with others in a happy, cooperative manner is important. Get the input from those around you, but don’t be afraid to confidently share your ideas!
Additional meanings of this card: A labour of love. Being paid to be creative. Awareness of your potential. Being a mentor.”
I hope this was helpful for you. I know it took me a long time to put doing what I love at the top of my list. These days I am fortunate to do what I love every day. One of those things is sending these newsletters with messages from Spirit to you! I hope you too can “do what you love” every day and that it will be part of manifesting the life that you want to live. In the end, you will also grow as a person and share your magic with those around you.
I would love to hear your feedback. If you find that you are wanting help in doing what you love, I am offering individual intuitive counselling and angel card readings online or in person (in Calgary).
Lots of love and hugs,
Marilyn
