Angel Messages - Be the Real You

Although we have just had messages from today’s deck in March, it has been calling loudly all day to provide you with another message, so I had to comply! The deck is the Angels & Auras Oracle by Radleigh Valentine and Dougall Fraser. You may remember that this deck brings us messages from our Guardian Angels, some of the Archangels, and colours. This deck also can bring messages suggesting a need for shadow work or work to be done in a specific area of our life and when the deck called to me today, I heard that it had a shadow message for us. AND indeed, it did! Today’s card was presented in the inverted position which means it is bringing forward that shadow message. Card #15 Be The Real You is asking us to take a deeper look at who we are becoming in this year of transformation. Just as the last card from this deck had us releasing old stories to become our authentic selves, this card is encouraging us to take the next step. 

My Messages: 

Time to Look at the Shadow

I can’t think of a more perfect card for this “5 day” (May 9, 2025: 5+9+2+0+2+5 = 23,

2+3 = 5) in a “5 month.” When we look at the vibration of the number five, it supports change, freedom, and fun! What a perfect time to reflect on the needed changes to “be the real you.” The shadow messages on the card are “trapped, shallowness, conformity, closeted.” Do any of these describe how you have been feeling up to now? Do you still feel trapped in circumstances, relationships, or even a self image that no longer feels true to you? Are you perhaps still working on that life lesson of self worth so are still conforming to the needs and desires of others versus living how you truly want to live? Are you still trapped in obligations or feeling responsible for others? Do you feel shallow in your relationships because you are not being true to yourself? Have you “outgrown” people, places, things, and experiences but are afraid to acknowledge that? Are you still “hiding in the closet?”

This card is reminding you to take stock of how you feel about yourself, right now, in this moment. Spirit is saying not what you “think” about yourself but how you FEEL. Are you happy, joyful, excited about life and who you are? Or are you frustrated, angry, sad, or hopeless? Spirit wants you to take a few moments and be still. Take stock of how you feel right now. If you are feeling positive, you have stepped into who you really are, into your true self, or are imminently ready to. Awesome! If you are stuck in a negative space don’t worry! The first step to breaking out is acknowledging and embracing where you are. The second step is deciding where you want to be and who you want to be. What do you want to change?

Celebrate

This shadow message is coming up now because you are ready to work through it. What lessons is it bringing forward for you? What understanding have you gained? What might you need to forgive? What no longer serves you that you can release? When you meditate or journal on these questions you will gain some clarity on your next steps. You will see what you can let go of. You will see where you can change your perspective to a positive one to move forward.

Part of this exercise is to look back and see how far you have come. This year has been an

intense roller coaster of experiences. I am sure you have had times when you have thought, “Whew! I’m glad I am through that lesson!” only to discover that you are yet approaching a tougher version of it. BUT you got through that too and every successive challenge to date! Remember your triumphs, your successes. As Archangel Uriel told us in the card for May “your success can transform your life.” (See Angel Messages for Each Month of 2025 – Part 1) Revel in them for a few minutes. How does that feel? Is a smile starting to spread across your face? Those successes are what you will build on to move forward. Celebrate them! Every one is significant no matter how “small” your ego might tell you it is. Remember, May is the month to have fun so celebrate! Your hard work of the past several months has paid off!

The Key to Open New Doors

Who holds the key to opening the closet; to releasing the trap you may feel you are in? YOU DO! Yes, you have the power to assert yourself, to “be the real you.” Spirit is reminding you that all you need to do is decide. You have free will. You have the power to open those doors to move away from what you have outgrown and towards what aligns with the new you, the real you. Spirit is encouraging you to choose to shed the expectation, wants and needs of others and answer the call of your unique soul. Spend some quiet time and listen for that call. When you connect it will feel right. It will feel genuine. It will feel as if you have “come home.” Your Guardian Angels and all the angels are wanting you to know that they are right there with you. They will help you turn the key. They will help you step through that door. They will help you decide on your next direction. All you need to do is ask.

Freedom

The changes this month will bring about freedom for you. This is the month you will be free to stand in your truth and as you do, there will be a ripple effect to others encouraging them to do the same. This is the year of the snake and Spirit is saying that this is the month to “shed that old skin, that old persona” (just as the image on the card portrays) and reveal the real you. I say ‘reveal’ because the real you has always been with you. It either has been in hiding or buried under fears and false expectations. But now it is time to shed all of that and allow yourself to shine. Spirit wants to reassure you that you need no one’s permission to do that. All you need is belief in yourself. Attend to what brings you joy, feel it and keep recreating experiences that are joyful. The real you will be there in that joy.

Decisions

The number of the card (#15) supports change as well - #1 is all about new beginnings, independence and #5 tells us change is coming so watch for opportunities, be courageous,

and adventurous. Know that your angels are with you and everything happens for your highest good. So cast away fears and doubts and decide to move forward for you! Together, the numbers add up to 6 which is about responsibility. Spirit is encouraging you to remember that you are only responsible for yourself and your life. So, any feelings of responsibility for others that are holding you back can be released. Not only will you move forward but so will they as they take on responsibility for themselves. #6 in angel numbers is about rethinking your choices. Take your time when making a decision. Perhaps rethink that first decision and look at all the “angles,” all the different possibilities of a situation. Pay attention to the signs from Spirit and they will guide you through any decisions.
